Let the wedding bells ring....congratulations to the happy couple, Ann Cham and Ken Foo, who are now officially "Foo Mook See and Foo See Moe"...haha. The wedding was really nice, or so I hear. Yes, I missed it. I got there at 12:45, hoping to sneak into the group pictures and maybe nobody would notice that I missed the wedding. But by that time, the whole thing was over, and everybody - and I mean EVERYBODY - knew that I wasn't there. I swear, I'm probably gonna be late to my own wedding or miss it completely.

The banquet, at the Colony Hotel, was really nice...an evening filled with great food, fun and laughter. My fave moment's got to be the Marco Polo game...or as Ching made it, "Lo Gong, Lo Por". Poor Ken was wrestling 5 guys to the floor trying to get to his bride. Hahaha....

This was my first personal friend wedding - as in, my parents don't know the bride and groom, and I'm signing the card myself, giving the wedding gift myself. You know what that means - let the wedding floodgates open. One by one, my friends are gonna get locked into holy matrimony...my money's on Jo to be next. Soon, I'm gonna start hearing questions like, "When's your turn?" And yet, here I am all by my lonesome self, unattached and single.

Blah.

And the winners are...Reuuuuuubennnnn.....big fat black guy beats the skinny anorexic white guy. Simon said it right - talent won over image this time. While neither had the pop star image, both could just flat out sing. I'm glad Reuben won though; if Clay had won, there'd be racist theories all over the place. Besides, I'm sure Clay will get a contract too - after all, Justin lost last year and he still got one anyway. They'd be out of their minds to just let him go and let some other label pick him up.

As for The Bachelor, down-to-earth girl Jen beats out sassy and sensual Kirsten. On the drive back from CC, Angela and I had this long conversation about how if Andrew picked Kirsten, he is the stupidest, most superficial guy in the world. Good thing for him, he came through and picked the right girl. After watching bits of the After the Final Rose episode, I can safely say that, man, as sexy Kirsten may be, you can tell as soon as the cameras are off, the claws come out.

While anxiously waiting to download this past Tuesday's incredible Smallville season finale, Exodus, I've been playing back Calling (Part 1 of the finale) over and over and over again. I think I've watched the whole thing 8 times now. But there's one part that I've watched a zillion times now, it's the second opening scene where Lana surprises Clark with a birthday cake, with the beautiful soft piano background music. Maybe I'm just being too idealistic or something....you can call me sappy, and yes, I'm letting my guard down right now since I'm usually full of bravado, a chauvinistic pig, and blah blah blah.....but that was my favorite scene in the entire series so far. It made me think, man, I really wish my birthday last month was like that....seeing how for the past 3 years my birthday has been spent studying or writing an exam. I have to say, even though I've adamantly said that Lana isn't all THAT hot, she looked absolutely gorgeous in that episode. Lex said it perfectly:

"None of us really understands the fairer sex. That's why we're so captivated by them."

The scene made me wish I wasn't single right now.....sigh. But let's not get into the whole relationship topic again right now.

If I were Clark Kent, I'd be Superman. And my room would be cleaned in 2 seconds.

An inspiring weekend...I realized a lot of things over the weekend at Campus Challenge.

I realized how afraid of change I am - truly tackling challenges head on, taking initiative - and I realized that's because I haven't left my future to the most important person - God. I left it to myself; of course I'd be afraid. I don't have the ability to do it by myself.

I also realized how I've constantly been trying to run from my past, trying to cover up my mistakes. I'm afraid of my past, ashamed of my past, constantly trying to reinvent myself. No more. With the help of my boys, Ken, Jeff, Andre, and Abe, we gonna rock this joint.

I know I'm slow in completing this post. Gimme some time.

Are we in the Matrix?...wouldn't it be cool if I were Neo, with Trinity as my horny girlfriend, know every possible martial art kicking agent ass, and fly like Superman? Known as the only guy who can save mankind? On the down side, I'd be living in an underground world, constantly trying to avoid sentinels.

As you can tell, I saw Reloaded today.

What. A. Great. Movie. Watched it with Justin, Carlo and Chloe (Henry ditched us for class, and James watched it with his "high school friend"...he's such a mack) at Uptown, where the bass shook my seat. Oh man, oh man, I was on the edge of my seat for most of the movie. Or maybe it was because I had to pee and was holding it in to watch? I dunno, regardless, I was glad I saw the movie. I won't ruin it for most of you who haven't seen it yet, but I'll just say that I feel somewhat ripped off because I hate movies that basically demand you to watch the sequel or you won't get the real ending. I paid good money to watch a movie, and while I got my time's worth (it was a good 2 hours, 15 minutes), I didn't get my story's worth. Who the hell wants to wait another half-year to watch the finish to a movie? TV shows are "To be continued", NOT MOVIES. Maybe a class-action lawsuit is in order. Time to give lawyer Adrian a call...too bad she's skiing in Switzerland right now. Sooo jealous...

Going to Campus Challenge tomorrow. I need the spiritual retreat. Hopefully it's what I'm looking for....

I'll be unveiling the new prototype of my site with this post. Remember it won't be fully done for a while, but it's a glimpse of what's to come. Comments are always welcome.

Whirlwind weekend...went up to Montreal with James for the weekend to get out of the city, get a refreshing change of scenery and get away from everything.

And I'm glad I did.

On the first day there we went shopping, walked around downtown, and finally met his girlfriend Vivian. Then we went out to Saq and proceeded to get ready to drink our asses off before partying in Montreal on a Friday night. Man, I haven't gotten so drunk in the longest time - usually I can't drink because I'm the driver in Toronto. But in Montreal, no car, no rules! James had a whole bunch of his friends over at his place, Sherin, Vivienne, Shelly, and a couple of others pre-drinking before we went to Club Tokyo...I had the best time there. I couldn't remember ever having this much fun clubbing before. The night after, we went to Central Station and GoGo, and would've gone to Stereo had we not been too tired from Tokyo the night before. I couldn't drink so much the second night so I paid $5 for a bottle of water from Fiji. Man, when I'm paying that much for bottled water, I must be *really* drunk. But I had a great time. During the day, we saw a cheesy overdone street magic act which stopped once the guy realized everybody who was watching had left, walked around the Old Port/Old Montreal, and had a picnic up the mountain.

I'll admit, as a friend sometimes James can be a real self-absorbed, arrogant, and selfish ass, but he gave me the kick in the ass that I needed to wake up and get out and smell the roses. Thanks man.

It's someone's birthday tomorrow. Hmmm, for the life of me I can't remember who it is. Maybe I'll conveniently forget. After all, I still haven't gotten anything for my birthday....

Stuck in a rut...I feel like I've lost my groove, my mojo. And I don't know how to get it back.

It's like I'm wandering around aimlessly without goals or inspiration these days. I need to get out more often, experience life more, yet I can't bring myself to it. I used to want to wake up every morning and face the day - now all I wanna do is stay in bed and hide.

I've become anti-social.

Guys day out...James and I spent the day out shopping and checking out the Asian-American movie, Better Luck Tomorrow (which was a REALLY good movie...not only does it represent, but it was just really well scripted and acted...and I think Karin Anna Cheung, while she's not hot, she's really pretty). Afterward, we went to his restaurant where we had the usual Korean BBQ that's soooo good...while listening to the screeching of terrible karaoke (but James kept claiming the girls were hot so it didn't matter)...riiight.....

Jo says I'm not a true blogger cuz I save my posts and finish them later instead of doing it all in one shot. Well, she's right, and now I regret it because even tho I put the title to this post, I forgot what I really did on Tuesday. I *think* I did all that stuff then, but it may have been Monday - maybe I was with Henry on Tuesday? Or Dave? I can't remember...the past week has been a blur.

The day a truck beat a Supra...so Rick, Jo and I went to see Bringing Down the House at AMC after arguing throughout the entire dinner which movie to see: X2 (which Rick had seen already), A Man Apart (which Jo's cousin heard it sucked) and Identity (which I didn't wanna see). We went in with no expectations, but it was an absolutely hilarious movie! Even though the commercials showed it had a cheesy plotline, we all agreed it was right up there with our comedy faves. Afterwards we hit D&B and played some games, shot some hoops (and just to shut Jo up, yes, she did beat me in those dinky midway hoops...), grabbed an ice capp, then headed back to Jo's place when this guy in a F350 challenged us to a race along Highway 7.

And man, did Rick get his ass beat. BY A TRUCK.

Then again, the guy cheated - he had a supercharged blown engine in that truck of his...and we had three people in our Supra. Jo was screaming in the back while I'm just calming sitting in the front, nicely impressed with the acceleration to about 200-210 clicks with Rick's recovery handling at turns. Rick tried talking the guy into pulling over so he could check out the truck, but I think the guy thought we were gonna pull a triad thing on him or something...haha.
