The biggest regrets in life come not in failures, but in missed opportunities.

It's go time, baby. Let's rock.

I think I have a stalker...

...but I guess that's what happens when you think like I do. =)

Cuz seriously. I'm getting these phone calls at the most random times of the day and night, and every call is always screened - as in the phone number never shows up on my call display because they either used call block or it's an unlisted number. Whoever it is that calls always hangs up right after I pickup - weird. But what was especially weird was last night, someone calls my house at 2:30am. Yes, 2:30am. Luckily I was right by the house phone line, since I was sitting on the can doing my business (yes, there's a phone in the washroom). I hear the phone ring, and I'm like, WTF?! Who the heck calls at 2:30am! Anyway, I pickup the phone, and yes, all I hear is the -click- of a phone being hung up. Which immediately brought me to think about the similar calls I get on my cell. Weird.

Alexis insists it must be a girl who "somehow" fell in love with me and calls me just to hear my voice and then hang up from "fear of talking to her idol". That's not a bad theory actually. For once, Lex actually boosted my ego instead of crushing it. Of course, I was also ignoring the blatant sarcasm in her voice.

Then again, it could be Jo, seeing how she follows me everywhere. Of all the churches in Toronto she could've gone to, she picks the one that's the one Ti and I decide to visit, the one furthest from her place. And of all the plates she could've grabbed food from, she has to reach over and grab my sushi. Grrr. If there was ever a prototypical stalker of mine, it's Jo.

Of course, it could just be a wrong number. Constantly. Which reminds me: is anyone else having trouble with Rogers lately? Over the course of a week, I've had 4 or 5 different calls routed to the wrong number, even though it's the number in my phone book. For instance, I called Dad using my speed dial. I reached some woman's voicemail at a completely different number. Perplexed, I redial. This time I got through to Dad. I didn't change the number or anything. Weird. If I didn't have unlimited minutes, I'd be complaining that Rogers is sucking up my minutes with misrouted calls.

Apprentice Finale is on tonight!! My gut feeling is Kwame is gonna come out on top. Good God, I hate Omarosa.

Happy Birthday to my Costco spouse! Yes, it's my biatch's b-day. He's now part of the quarter-century spinsters, so this post will be devoted entirely to Eric.

Damn, biew goh. You be freakin' old.

Man, do the Jays ever suck...a whole bunch of us went to the game today....Frank, Will, Marc, Ti, Angie, Stacey, Gail, Carol, Helen....only to watch the Jays blow opportunity after opportunity of catching up in the game. They suck. Batista sucks. Woodward sucks more.

Ange has some serious amnesia. I must've told her what my summer plans were like 10 times in the span of 15 minutes over dinner. =P But at least she remembered my Russian and Pennsylvanian Shot Glasses!! I've lost count to my collection now. I think I need a new shotglass cabinet....or at least put up the one Jo gave me.

My Logitech Cordless Elite Optical Duo is toast. Yes, my sexy black cordless optical mouse and keyboard. My mouse doesn't respond when I play Solitaire Showdown, which has resulted in my Win % dropping from 69 to 67. My keyboard doesn't respond sometimes, which has resulted in me banging my keyboard in frustration when I'm trying to type up my paper.

Which is a nice little subtle reminder: my birthday's coming up soon. =)

Yes, depressing for me since it's always in exams and I never end up doing anything, but still a nice little hint about what I want =P (the Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop for Bluetooth is a very suitable replacement!)

Happy Birthday wishes to Amy and Carolyn =P

Worst case of writer's block EVER...a 10 page paper due at 2pm today. By midnight of last night, I was still stuck on the first page. By 3am, I barely crawled to the second page. If Lyds didn't swoop in and save me with some ideas to get me kickstarted, I probably would've never finished my paper. I didn't even think about using my experience at CCF as a resource. That's how bad my braincramp was.

I've never hit snooze on my alarm for TWO HOURS before...I passed out at 4:30, set my alarm for 6:30 to continue my paper. I kept snoozing it every 5 minutes til 8:30. Wow.

Proof that women are more evil and manipulative than men: Carlo did a survey asking two questions:

"Are nice guys just assholes waiting to happen?"
Yes: 10 No: 21

"Are nice girls just bitches waiting to happen?"
Yes: 25 No: 15

Yet more proof that women are evil, just like that equation going around how Women = Time x Money = Evil. I've yet to see anything from women that counter this argument. All I've heard are verbal complaints without hard evidence. =)

After today's 7-0 pasting by the Tigers, I'm actually excited about tomorrow's Jays game. Being humiliated on opening day on home turf's gotta fire up the Jays. I'm expecting big things from Miguel Batista. We bought up the entire row in the left outfield, so we better be catching some home runs! =)

But certainly the thing I'm looking forward to most is finally getting the chance to eat with Angee =P Food critics unite!

There's an absolutely gorgeous full moon tonight in the clear Toronto sky. When I took out the garbage all I could do was stand there and stare for a while...but the friggin' crazy chilly weather made me go back in.

I'm so screwed for my Mandarin midterm tomorrow.

Compliment or insult? Diana, Renee, Hannah, Ti and I went shopping after church today, at the DC sale in the middle of the clubbing district. Now, I hooked Diana up with an apartment through Mofo Jon Ho in Montreal for the summer. Then this morning, I hook her up with the DC sale and the Foot Locker F&F sale. Here's what she says:

"Wow, I didn't know hanging out with you had so many perks. I gotta hang out with you more often."
Me: "So you wanna hang out with me just cuz I can hook you up with stuff??"
"Pretty much!"
Ti: "Take that as a compliment, a girl wants to hang out with you!"

Compliment my ass! Not only did I get insulted with the fact that hanging out with me is cool only because I can hook you up with something, but my own flesh and blood insinuates that girls don't hang out with me. Backstabbing slut. =)

Ah well, I got my revenge by kicking Diana's butt all over the place in Solitaire Showdown......Ti's next.

Speaking of the Foot Locker sale, I picked up my first ever pair of New Balance shoes on Saturday with Frank and Ti. Picked up a nice pair of 717s. Friggin' ugly as hell. In fact, I was ready to buy a pair of Reebok Run 'N Hits, a classic white cross-trainer with a silver DMX sole, very slick. But after trying on the 717s, I have to admit, now I know why everybody raves about NBs all the time. They were ugly to look at but probably one of the most comfortable and well-supported shoes I've ever worn. Since I needed a quality pair to globetrot with this summer and it was on sale, AND Ti bought a pair of K-Swiss so we got Buy One Get One 1/2 Off, (So my pair was 33% off, then hers was 66% off [50% off, then another 33%]), the deal was just too good to pass up. Not to mention, I bought 3 pairs of Nike quarter cut socks that originally were $13.99 but somehow got discounted to $4.66. By the time we left Fairview and I discovered how cheap my socks really were, it was too late. I went to the Queen St. Foot Locker and the guy said there's no way, even with the F&F discount, that the socks could've been that cheap. I guess I just got damn lucky. =)

Yet another online test...damn MissNoNameBrand for sending out her test on xanga. Of all times that I should be working and not procrastinating, even several days after she first sent it out, it popped in my head to do it. I haven't gotten a lick of work done all day, but that can be attributed to feeling like crap with a sore throat and a headache. I lost my voice this morning. Everybody at church told each other to enjoy my silence while it lasts. Bastards.

If you wanna do this test too, click here: http://www.idealpartner.org.uk/ipbi/WhatJob.asp.

Hmmm....how accurate is this test is in describing me....tell me what you think!

Employment characteristics of Justin

Justin - Born: 23 April 1981     Gender: Male     Lunar Birth Date: 19  3  1981 (day/month/year)

Western Grid Chinese (Lunar) Grid
3   9
2   8
11 4

  99
3
8 111

The two grids above are called Numerology Grids.  The numbers from Justin's birth date - his Gregorian calendar birth numbers - are inserted into the Western Grid in certain positions.  His birth date is then converted into the Chinese lunar calendar, and the equivalent Lunar birth date numbers are inserted into the Chinese Grid, but in different positions.  In this way the Chinese and Western numerological interpretations complement each other.

Character, personality and employment characteristics are gleaned from the position of those numbers in each grid, the quantity of each number, and the lack of numbers. Comments on each number (or sets of numbers) are recorded below.  Green arrows represent positive characteristics derived from having three numbers in a row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal), whilst red arrows represent somewhat negative characteristics derived from three blanks in a row.  Be aware that to read numerology grids accurately takes a lot of practice, and before acting on what you see here you should study the whole subject in much greater detail.  Nor should you disregard the profound influence of genetics and upbringing.

Ki System

Natal Year number:  1
Justin has the ability to adapt himself to a variety of challenges, and thus has a creative potential that may find expression in art, design, music or literary work.  But with a cautious approach to life, he rarely discloses his innermost thoughts.

Natal Month number:  6
Naturally self-disciplined, Justin will have assumed responsibility for other family members from an early age.  He is naturally supportive of both the young and the old in his immediate family, and has a capacity for hard work, so there is a danger that his life may become a little too serious.  Justin is suited to social work, charitable functions or the world of education.

Natal House number:  9
Justin will work better in attractive surroundings that complement his appearance and character.  A natural charmer with good taste and a sense of humour, Justin has the potential to be an inspirational leader in the workplace.  Although a good "people person", he tends to let money slip through his fingers all too fast.

Comments based on Western Grid
11
Justin is a balanced individual who can understand and appreciate the views of others as well as his own.  He can express himself fluently, and with persuasive conviction, whilst taking account of opposing views.  This means that Justin will get on very well with colleagues at work, both senior and junior, as well as clients, customers, suppliers and external agencies.
2
Sensitive to criticism and naturally intuitive, Justin has a natural ability to detect insincerity in others.  Because he is a sensitive soul, Justin can be a solid friend and a good listener.  As a result, he will get on well with colleagues, whilst being more than capable of handling office politics.
3
With a creative mind and a good memory, Justin is honest, straightforward and optimistic.  He will achieve his aims.  He is capable of creative thought, and will appreciate art and music.  He also enjoys an excellent memory - a significant advantage in any employment.
4
A practical individual, Justin is a neat and tidy craftsman who can organise others to achieve his plans.  He should use those practical skills and organisational ability in an office management, or secretarial function, or by applying such skills to self-employment.  In general, Justin is a neat and tidy individual - qualities of value to many different jobs.
8
Good with details and with a methodical approach, Justin nevertheless is someone who enjoys constant new challenges to maintain his interest.  He is a methodical individual with attention to detail, but is inclined to leave tasks unfinished if his active mind alights on something of greater interest.  Routine tasks that fail to challenge his intellect are at greatest risk, so Justin needs a job that offers variety.
9
Ambitious to improve his lot, Justin will constantly push forward to achieve something in his life, yet this ambition will be balanced by humanitarian ideals that will lead him to support causes that may demand self-sacrifice.
[The Arrow of the Planner: the numbers 1, 2 and 3]   Although less interested in the detail, Justin is a well-organised individual who plans ahead.  If he absorbs knowledge through study, he will achieve great success, quite possibly in an artistic field.  The essence however of this combination is his desire to plan, and to organise himself to achieve his goals.

Comments based on Chinese Grid
111
Justin enjoys a positive and balanced approach to life and will be financially successful.  If the Chinese version also contains 2 sevens, Justin is very fortunate.
3
Unless Justin also has in the Chinese version either the numbers 5 and 7, or the numbers 4 and 8, he will be hypersensitive and prone to stress-related problems.
8
In the absence (in the Chinese version) of the numbers 1 and 6, he will be good with money and details.  He will be happier if the Chinese grid includes the numbers 5 and 7.
99
Justin is intelligent, and prepared to learn.  Without the numbers 3, 5 and 7 in the Chinese version, Justin is likely to use his head at the expense of his heart, which can lead him to become something of a workaholic.
[The Arrow of Suspicion: Lacking the numbers 4, 5 and 6]   Justin is a cynic who worries too much about the downside.  He needs to recognise more of life's advantages.
[The Arrow of Apathy: Lacking the numbers 2, 6 and 7]   Justin lacks the will to succeed.  Somewhat indecisive, he will miss opportunities and avoid risk.  Justin needs to recognise that life's chances must be grasped with both hands when the opportunity arises.

Rain, rain go away...and don't friggin' come back. It's been raining all week. The stupid crummy weather is definitely affecting my moods and will to work - I think it even made me sick, for the first time in I don't know how long, I've got a sore throat. Sigh....

Music Swappers Win!...it's a great day to be Canadian. It's legal to share music.

Glen Grunwald was fired yesterday. Such a shame. He did a great job when he re-signed AD, JYD, Alvin, Hakeem, and Vince all in one summer....awesome job convincing them to stay...but at the same time, he has to be held responsible for the mess in Raptorland nowadays. He was a decent GM, but he had to go. I hope we can get a Jerry West type GM, get ourselves a big man, a true point guard (shift Rose to SF...the guy just turns the ball over way too much), and a coach that actually has offensive ideas to complement his defensive intensity. KO is a great defensive guy, but he has ZERO offensive plays. Watching games, I could tell on defence, it's a world of difference from last year. But from an offensive perspective, there's no difference between his offense and the pathetic offense from the Lenny Wilkins era. KO's gotta go. He'd make the perfect assistant though.

It's too bad Victor Li decided to pull the plug on his investment in Air Canada. I really wish the AC unions would wake up and smell the coffee, realizing that if they don't make concessions, they'd be out of work entirely since Air Canada's already bankrupt. Idiots. Even I'm considering flying with WestJet or JetsGo for my next domestic flight. Good thing I used my Aeroplan Miles to take that New York trip, otherwise I wouldn't even have points anymore. I was kind of hoping Chinese investors would become more prominent in the national spotlight. After all, we're the largest visible minority in Canada.

[sotm] Frank Sinatra's Witchcraft. I'll tell you what song I cannot stand at all - Eamon's Fuck It (Don't Want You Back), and that stupid ripoff song by some girl, Fuck You Right Back. Any song that needs explicit lyrics in their title and makes up 50% of the song is NOT a song. It's pathetic. They're crappy songs too.

Subway stories...I swear, this morning was the subway ride from hell. Stuck waiting at Bayview station for almost 10 minutes for a train, which took its sweet as time getting to Yonge. Transferred at Yonge, where I just caught a train that was leaving. Great news, right? Nope. The train kept jolting, accelerating, stopping, accelerating, stopping. I swear the conductor must've been on crack or drunk, which was proven when he announced what station was coming up, he'd say: "Ex blrahhhhh....." I couldn't read the newspaper properly with all the jolting. Then, I got stuck between Lawrence & Eglinton for 15 minutes. Stopped. Not moving. And to top it off, I was now late for brunch with Rita at Eggspectation. But I'm stuck underground, no cell signal, so I can't call her. Impatient, pissed, hungry, and thinking to myself, "Rita's gonna kill me", I looked around and saw everyone else starting to get a little unnerved by the incredibly long delay without even an explanation by the conductor. But what could I do? I put on some tunes to try to pass the time and keep my mind off things. I ended up being way too late for brunch. We ended up cancelling. Sigh.

But on the way back home, TJ, Brian and I started chatting about TJ's job as a lifeguard at the AC. The topic went to who he didn't like saving the most, and old geezers with dentures came to mind - who would wanna give CPR to that?! We started joking around about that topic, but Brian, like the big idiot that he is, says to the woman sitting next to TJ, "No offense yo.....we're just joking"....TJ and I look at each other, we're like, "OMG....what the heck is he saying to her?? Stupid!" Way smooth Bri, telling a woman she looks old and wrinkly with dentures....it was so obvious the woman was offended....she blinks a couple of times, laughs, and goes, "uhh....ummm....well.....you guys will have to deal with it sometime too." She promptly got off at the next stop. If you read about some woman committing suicide at the TTC tomorrow, you can blame Brian and his boneheaded comment. Or maybe it's his idea of an April Fools joke....? Nah, knowing Brian....he didn't mean it in a bad way, but damn, that was one of the worst things to say.... =)

Got our Jays tickets in the mail today! Checking out the Tuesday game (second game of the season) against the Tigers. Yes, the Detroit Tigers. But the tickets are only $2 (with all the taxes and fees, $3.90). Can't argue about that price. I ended up buying a block of 10 tickets. Still got 2 tickets left, so if you're interested, let me know!

Man, I've got soooo much work lately....and I keep procrastinating because my mind is still permanently shut off. I need more sleep. I can't keep sleeping at 4am every night. If you see me on MSN past 2, kick my ass.
